Willman operates two efficient molding facilities, Air-set/Nobake for large and medium castings, Green Sand for smaller castings.
The Nobake facility has two bays for molding medium size, semi-production castings and one-off components up to 40,000 pounds in flasks, flaskless or in pits.
The Green Sand operation is a highly flexible production facility for prototype to several thousand parts using Harrison and International cope and drag pin lift molding machines with flask sizes up to 38" x 60", automatic in line molding and squeezer return pallet molding. A recent 15,000 sq. ft. addition equipped with a QJS 230 molding machine enable us to produce castings with weights up to 1500 pounds in flask sizes of 42" x 42" x 20/20 and 42" x 60" x 16/16.
Willmans core room incorporates the most-up-to-date and cost effective core making techniques, including automatic core blowing to high speed, short run, loop-type core making. Tooling can be matched to volume requirements from L.O.M. prototyping conventional production urethane/metal and wood patterns.
No matter how great your design, your best efforts can be wasted when produced with a less than perfect pattern. At Willman there is no compromise. If your existing pattern needs repair, or you need new tooling in urethane, metal or wood, our skilled craftsmen can build a precise pattern that matches your design.
